Monterey Bay

The Monterey Bay is a bay of the Pacific Ocean located on California’s central coast. It lies south of San Francisco and north of Santa Cruz. With beautiful beaches all around, you’ll want to check out this area for yourself! The biological richness and unique habitats of Monterey Bay are teeming with wildlife. It is also full in an underwater treasure of the tiniest nudibranches to the world’s largest mammal, blue whales.

In fact, the Monterey Canyon is one of the largest underwater canyons in the world. It begins off Moss Landing. Also, it’s 249 miles long but its shape changes regularly because of currents and sediments. The canyon has a lot in common with that from continental slopes; different parts have very different biology too. Also, another interesting fact about this place is its scenic views. It showcases the panoramic beauty of crystal clear waters. And of course, moderate sized rock formations that are perfect for that photo shoot! Along with the California sun lingering on the renowned coast.
