Wandsworth Town Hall

Wandsworth Town Hall is a notable place for those with an appetite for history. The grand marble hall houses the most fantastic light and sweeping stairway. While English Oak panelling can be found throughout all rooms at this historic landmark. The registry office is a beautiful place that has housed many weddings over the years. With its art-deco features, such as arched windows and intricate molding on ceilings; it’s no wonder why so many people got married here!

Further, the building now has an exterior that is Grade II listed. Along the High Street, there are stone reliefs depicting key events and industries in Wandsworth’s history. Such as its demise into becoming a borough of London during ancient times. The large scale of the building and its grandeur are immediately striking, enhanced by the considerable entrance court where many couples have arrived in style over time. Capability at Wandsworth Town Hall varies from 10 people seated comfortably at the Mayor’s Parlour. Or if you book one of the larger rooms such as the Grand Chamber, it can accommodate hundreds of guests.

Indeed, the Town Hall is an ideal location for your next event. It’s conveniently located on Wandsworth High Street, just opposite of the South Thames College and a mile away from the nearest tube stop as well! There are numerous bus routes that serve this area, which means you won’t have any trouble getting around town if need be. But unfortunately, there isn’t any parking available either. So guests must use public transport or find some other way to get home after their big day. Better yet, a little photoshoot while walking would make it extra fun too!
