I’ve spent the last decade traveling the US and abroad documenting raw, powerful love in it’s many forms for couples during the most exciting times of their lives. From remote mountain elopements to the grandeur of luxury and celebrity weddings, every story we tell is deeply personal, shaped by the landscapes, the energy, and the connection between two people.

What inspired you to become a wedding photographer?
I’ve always believed that some moments deserve more than to be remembered, they deserve to be felt. After spending a decade traveling across the U.S. and abroad and witnessing love in all its forms, from intimate mountain vows to luxurious multi-day celebrations, I realized I wanted to devote my life to capturing those raw, meaningful connections. The landscapes, the laughter, the quiet glances—they all told a story that standard photography often misses. With By The West, I set out to document love not just how it looked, but how it felt.
How would you describe your photography style?
Our style blends editorial refinement with candid documentary energy and true-to-life color infused with romantic flair. We aim for immersive storytelling shaped by movement, landscape, and genuine connection. Every image is carefully composed yet alive with emotion, striking a balance between timeless elegance and the wild unscripted magic of your day.
How do you ensure that your clients feel comfortable and relaxed during the photo shoot?
From our first conversation we work to understand your story, your energy, and your comfort zone. There’s no pressure. We guide naturally, let real moments unfold, and create space for laughter, spontaneity, and authentic interaction. The idea is to make you feel seen, not staged. When you’re relaxed, the images become a reflection of you, not just poses.
How do you ensure that you capture all of the important moments on the wedding day?
Preparation meets intuition. We discuss your vision and priorities ahead of time, then on the day we stay present, anticipating moments, staying agile, and working seamlessly behind the scenes. With our team experienced in both stills and motion, we make sure the full arc of your celebration—from the vows to the after-party, is covered and telling the story you want it to.
What is your favorite part of the wedding day and why?
My favorite part is often the moment just after the vows, when everything shifts—relief, joy, an energy of possibility. It’s a turning point where guests exhale, the formality gives way to celebration, and the couple begins their journey together in full force. Capturing that first burst of freedom and pure connection, surrounded by the people and places you love—it’s why I do what I do.
