How would you describe your photography style?
I come from a landscape photography background, so I always try to highlight the landscape and keep the tones and colors as close to how they were in person.
How do you ensure that your clients feel comfortable and relaxed during the photo shoot?
It’s really about fostering a personal connection to couples. I try to have my personality drive the experience and the flow of photos from building trust and connection.
How do you ensure that you capture all of the important moments on the wedding day?
After hundreds of elopements, you really get a good idea of the flow of an elopement day. But I try not to be too rigid on timelines because these are supposed to have an easy flow. Just drive the boat and be the guide for the couples.
What is your favorite part of the wedding day and why?
The first look. It’s probably the most exciting and anticipated time of each elopement. Especially when you’re hiking up under the stars with your headlamps. You have so much anticipation leading up to that point and it’s probably the most emotional photo sequence I capture from every elopement.
