Requirements & Approval Criteria
To maintain a high level of trust and quality across our platform, every Wedding Maps photographer is manually reviewed and approved by our team. This careful selection process ensures that all featured photographers meet our standards for creativity, professionalism, and client experience.
We evaluate applicants based on the following criteria:
- Creative Skill
A demonstrated ability to find unique compositions, use light creatively, and deliver a diverse set of compelling images across different sessions. - Technical Mastery
Consistent image quality without issues such as unintended blur, color imbalances, or poor use of flash and lighting. - Storytelling & Photojournalism
The ability to anticipate and capture authentic, emotional moments that tell a powerful story. - Client-Centered Approach
A proven track record of professionalism, with no major client complaints or experience concerns. - Professional Experience
At least 3 years as a professional photographer and a minimum of 30 weddings photographed.

Absolutely! If you were ever featured on Wedding Maps, The Photo Argus, SLR Lounge, or any other partner websites, you are permitted to use relevant logos in your marketing.
DO THE LINKS DISAPPEAR IF I DISCONTINUE MY MEMBERSHIP?
Any features that you earn on 3rd party partner websites as an active member of Wedding Maps should remain online permanently, even if you discontinue your membership. We use the word “should” because we do not have any editorial control over these websites, and their website owners may choose to remove or modify articles.
