I’m Brittany and the owner of Brittany Barclay Photography. I have been photographing weddings for over 15 years and love every moment. I am highly organized, so I run my business like a well-oiled machine. My clients say I’m more than a photographer to them and that I will do anything to help make the wedding day perfect. I have a servant heart and I love serving clients that are down-to-earth, family oriented, and couples that want to have fun! A wedding day goes by so fast and all you have left are the memories captured by your photographer. I want my clients to look at their images and feel like they are reliving their day over again. I want to capture those family members that may not be around much longer or those special people in your life that you adore. I want your photos to tell a story but also show love. I will be an additional bridesmaid full of wedding knowledge to help in any way I can, or I can be in the background snapping moments. Either way, I will do it all to ensure your getting quality images to last a lifetime.
A little more about me: I’ve been married since 2006 and I have two boys. I’m very involved at their school. I serve on the board of the Education Foundation and volunteer for lots of fun things at school. I am heavily involved in my church and run the social media for them and plan most of the events. I’m a Dallas Stars Hockey fan and love going to games. I love spending time with my family. I love traveling with my husband especially in Cabo. I am obsessed with Christmas and always decorate on November 1st. Christmas décor just makes me happy! My husband knows my crazy and still loves me :).

What inspired you to become a wedding photographer?
I love capturing love stories. Being behind the camera and taking simple moments and freezing them, is magic. I love having those moments of my family and getting to share that with couples on the best days of their lives is even more special. I’ve been a photographer for over 15 years and I never get tired of capturing weddings.
How would you describe your photography style?
My photography style is bright, true-to-color, fun, organic, timeless. I want my clients to have images that aren’t heavily filtered or photoshopped. I want you to see your day through my eyes and it be natural.
How do you ensure that your clients feel comfortable and relaxed during the photo shoot?
l strive to make everyone feel comfortable. I make sessions fun and natural and keep conversation going to help relax everyone. I help pose the couple but still make natural movement and moments occur. Having a relaxed and fun session is the best thing I can do for the photos to be exactly what my clients want.
How do you ensure that you capture all of the important moments on the wedding day?
I am VERY organized so I always have a list of the import people to capture. I constantly watch for moments to naturally happen and capture those. I also always have a second photographer with me to ensure all the moments are caught and two points of view are necessary at weddings.
What is your favorite part of the wedding day and why?
My favorite part of the wedding day is when the groom sees his bride for the first time. I love watching and capturing the reaction. This moment is all the bride waits for. She wants to she him smile or tear up at how beautiful she looks. This is the best part of the wedding day.
