In 1884, Ambrose Goode and his wife crafted the current colonial-style house, featuring grand white pillars and an expansive front porch. Present-day proprietor John McBride acquired the estate in 1997 and transformed it into the extraordinary event venue it stands as today. The dedicated team at Amber Grove has diligently preserved the vintage charm of the property while seamlessly incorporating modern amenities, ensuring a flawless wedding celebration.
Owner John McBride takes great pride in orchestrating every facet of event planning alongside couples, including the creation of a professional menu. While Amber Grove exclusively partners with their preferred caterers, renowned for their exceptional talent, they are adept at crafting dishes to satisfy a wide range of palates. John can also provide a curated list of trusted vendors in the area and assist with arrangements should you desire additional services. On the day of your event, the wedding party enjoys exclusive access to the estate, with private rooms available on-site for preparations. Multiple ceremony sites are scattered throughout the estate, allowing for a tailored experience based on personal preferences and the time of year. During warmer months, the backyard gazebo provides a picturesque backdrop for exchanging vows, while the rustic heated barn offers an intimate and cozy ambiance for colder weather ceremonies. Receptions take place within the climate-controlled tent, measuring 40′ x 80′, seamlessly connected to the original house by a covered walkway. This elegant tent serves as the ideal space for joyous celebrations, featuring a spacious dance floor, a designated DJ stage, a well-stocked bar, and ample seating to accommodate gatherings ranging from 150 to 220 guests.
