Gifford Pinchot State Park is located in the beautiful northern York County. Along a stretch of road known as a scenic route. The 2,338-acre park offers visitors many activities and amenities for all ages. From fishing spots to nature trails with abundant wildlife. The landscape consists mostly of reverting farm fields and wooded hillsides that are perfect to explore on foot or bike. Pinchot Lake is also an attraction worth seeing! You can explore nature on one of their two 18 hole disc golf courses or relax by an enticing flat water kayak. In the event that you don’t have a tent or trailer, no problem! You can enjoy an unforgettable stay in one of their yurts with stunning views over the lake. Hike any one (or more) trails throughout summer in order to discover America’s largest butterfly too. Also, there are hundreds of boulders and rock outcrops throughout the park that make for picturesque lake scenes or spots where you can enjoy quiet solitude.
