Highlands County Park

In the early 1900s, Lord and Lady Anderson of England managed to make their way into an area just outside Felton. Also, this is where they bought 43 acres of land. Naturally, they built an English-style mansion on the property. In fact, it was named after its Scottish heritage from its builder. Now, this beautiful property is called the Highlands County Park!

In addition, the Nasser family bought the old estate in 1930s and tore down the old mansion to build the Highlands House. Today, it has been open as a park since 1977. When Santa Cruz County purchased their favorite place for the to public use! One one hand, the vast lawn next to the house is where many summer weddings take place. And it’s even custom-made for an unforgettable occasion. The ground beneath your feet will be lush with greenery as you walk down its length. As it is surrounded by large oak trees that reach up towards sky in all directions. Also, you can have a perfect wedding at the new White Gazebo. Whether it’s for your ceremony or as an elegant reception venue – this gazebo provides everything that couples need to make their day run smoothly without any worries.

Moreover, the Highlands House is a beautiful venue that can be used for many different types of events. Surrounded by trees and flowers (the camellia bushes are gorgeous in bloom), it has several rooms on the first floor which provide versatile space to host your special day. The adjacent Garden Room is the coolest in this house. It’s also considered to be one of the best places for cake cutting and cooling off during hot summer days. During weekdays, these same rooms can also work just as well with meetings or other business functions when necessary.
