Skogafoss

Skógafoss is one of the most beautiful and thunderous waterfalls in all Iceland. In fact, it has a vast width (25 meters) combined with an awe-inspiring drop rating of 60m / 197 ft. The rainbows are present any time the sun emerges from behind a cloud, thanks to all that spray! On one hand, you can’t travel the South Coast of Iceland without stopping at this beautiful waterfall.

Hitting Route 1, you will be able to enjoy your view while taking a break from driving and hiking in one place! The land underneath the waterfall is so flat that you can walk right up to its wall of water. This will get your clothes drenched, but on a warm summer day it might be hard not too. If you want to make it extra awesome, you can even have your elopement at this magical venue!
