Timberline Lodge
Timberline Lodge is an iconic wedding venue in Oregon, situated high above the majestic mountain slopes of Mt. Hood National Forest. Additionally, it has an unmatched view of the said forest. Notably dedicated by President Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1937, Timberline Lodge is a national historic landmark resort. Making this amazing venue a popular tourist destination for over five decades.
In addition, the Timberline Lodge’s hexagonal architecture has starred on the silver screen. As it was featured in the cult-classic film, “The Shining”. Still, it was designed to be harmonious with its environment. Inside, couples will find an artisanal interior full of handcrafted details such as carved wooden paneling, murals, and glass mosaics throughout. The lodge hosts numerous venues congenial for a spectacular wedding celebration. That includes exchanging vows in the grounds’ amphitheater surrounded by beautiful vistas or at one of their many outdoor ceremony locations. Just imagine taking your vow in a riverside spot, near waterfalls where wildflowers are blooming!
Elsewhere in the lodge, you can find a beautiful indoor venue for your ceremony. The Raven’s Nest is spacious and airy with natural light shining down from its expansive windows. As it gives off an intimate feeling but also provides warmth to guests. Couples who want something closer than this may visit the Silcox Hut. Which has more of an outdoor feel, yet still holds warm timber framing and exposed stone work inside making it cozy too! Timberline Lodge brims with the atmosphere of a picturesque wilderness getaway, but it also offers all the amenities one could need for hosting a memorable wedding. Couples can customize their ceremony and reception sites to include everything they want. From catering options, bar services, event staff – even an on-site glacier-fed brewery!
