My name is Anton Drummond, and I am a wedding, portrait, and lifestyle photographer based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I have been photographing weddings for more than thirteen years, and during that time I have had the honor of capturing countless love stories throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, New York, and Washington DC. Photography has always been more than just a creative outlet for me. It is a way to preserve honest, meaningful moments that deserve to be remembered for a lifetime.
My approach to photography is contemporary and storytelling-driven. I focus on genuine, unscripted moments that reflect the true spirit of a couple’s wedding day. I believe in letting the day unfold naturally and stepping in with gentle guidance only when needed. This balance helps me create images that feel timeless and authentic, blending classic portraits with real, candid moments.
One of the most rewarding parts of being a wedding photographer is building relationships with my couples. I take the time to get to know their story, learn about what matters most to them, and make sure they feel comfortable in front of the camera. Trust is essential. When my couples trust me, they can relax and focus on enjoying their wedding day, knowing that I will capture the big moments as well as the quiet, meaningful ones in between.
When I am not photographing weddings, I love spending time with my family. I also enjoy exploring new places, whether in my own city or while traveling for destination weddings. Each new location inspires me to see the world differently and fuels my creativity.
Every couple deserves to have their story told in a way that feels true to them. My mission is to create images that will bring them back to the feelings of their wedding day for years to come. What inspired you to become a wedding photographer?
I was inspired to become a wedding photographer because I’ve always been drawn to genuine, meaningful moments, and weddings are full of them. There’s something incredible about documenting a day that brings people together to celebrate love, family, and tradition. I also love the fast-paced, spontaneous nature of weddings in which every event is unique, with its own story to tell. Over time, I realized I could combine my passion for storytelling with my skills behind the camera to help couples preserve one of the most important days of their lives.
How would you describe your photography style?
My photography style is a natural blend of candid moments and timeless portraits. I focus on capturing real emotions, genuine interactions, and the unique energy of each wedding day. My approach is relaxed and unobtrusive. I want couples and their loved ones to feel comfortable so I can document their day as it truly unfolds. The result is a mix of honest storytelling, romantic imagery, and thoughtful attention to the small details that make each celebration special.
How do you ensure that your clients feel comfortable and relaxed during the photo shoot?
I believe the key to making clients feel comfortable is building trust from the very beginning. I always take time to get to know each couple, talk through their vision, and answer any questions they have before the shoot. On the day of, I keep things relaxed and easygoing, offering gentle guidance rather than stiff posing, so people feel free to be themselves. I also make sure to read the room. Sometimes stepping back to capture candid moments, other times giving light direction to help everyone feel at ease. My goal is to create a comfortable, fun experience so their personalities can shine through in the photos.
What is your favorite part of the wedding day and why?
My favorite part of the wedding day is the first look. There’s something incredibly powerful about that moment when a couple sees each other for the first time. It’s raw, emotional, and completely genuine. It allows them to connect privately before the whirlwind of the day really begins, and I love being able to capture those reactions in a way that tells their story authentically. It sets the tone for the rest of the day, and those images usually end up being some of my couples’ most treasured.”
