Eric Turner

I’m Eric Turner, a wedding photographer based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and I believe wedding photography should feel easy, natural, and true to you. Your wedding day is one of the most meaningful days of your life, and my goal is to capture it in a way that lets you relive every laugh, every hug, and every tear for years to come.

I work with couples who want photos that feel authentic rather than staged. I am not about stiff poses or forced smiles. Instead, I keep things relaxed and comfortable, giving just enough direction when it helps and stepping back when it does not. The result is a wedding gallery that reflects your day exactly as it felt, full of the big moments and the little ones in between.

Based in Minneapolis, I photograph weddings throughout the Twin Cities, across Minnesota, and beyond. I have had the privilege of documenting celebrations in some of the best Minnesota wedding venues, from elegant city spaces in downtown Minneapolis to rustic barns, lakeside resorts, and outdoor spots that showcase the beauty of this state. No matter where your wedding is, I bring the same calm energy and dedication to making sure you feel supported and stress free.

My packages are designed to be straightforward and flexible, with options for full day coverage, engagement sessions, highlight videos, and second shooters if you want even more coverage. Whether you are planning a big celebration with hundreds of guests or an intimate elopement, I will work with you to make sure your photography fits your vision and your priorities.

Couples who work with me often tell me how comfortable they felt in front of the camera and how much they appreciated my easygoing personality throughout the day. I know being photographed can feel awkward, and that is why I focus on creating an experience where you can relax, enjoy yourself, and trust that the photos will be taken care of.

At the end of the day, your wedding deserves more than just pretty pictures. It deserves photos that bring you right back into the moment, surrounded by the people you love, feeling all the energy and emotion of your day. If you are looking for a Minnesota wedding photographer who will keep things simple, real, and true to you, I would love to connect and hear more about your plans.

FAQs

What inspired you to become a wedding photographer?

I became a wedding photographer because I genuinely enjoy being around people. Weddings let me combine that with photography in the best way possible. I get to spend one of the most important days of a couple’s life with them, seeing sides of their relationship that even close friends and family don’t always get to witness. Being trusted to capture that is something I don’t take lightly, and it is what keeps me inspired every time I pick up the camera.

How would you describe your photography style?

I’d describe my photography style as true to life. I want your photos to look and feel like the moment as it really happened. My focus is on keeping things natural while capturing the genuine emotion of you, your people, and the day as it unfolds.

How do you ensure that your clients feel comfortable and relaxed during the photo shoot?

I’m a pretty easygoing guy and I pay close attention to how my couples are feeling throughout the day. My goal is to make sure you are comfortable and actually enjoying yourself, even if that means stepping in to help with things that are not directly photography related. If you feel relaxed and cared for, the photos will always feel more natural.

How do you ensure that you capture all of the important moments on the wedding day?

I make sure every important moment is covered by combining preparation with experience. I always have backups of my gear, memory cards, and systems in place so nothing gets lost. Beyond that, I’ve photographed enough weddings to know when and where big moments are likely to happen. I pay close attention to the flow of the day and stay ready so I can capture both the planned events and the unexpected moments that make your wedding unique.

What is your favorite part of the wedding day and why?

My favorite part of the wedding day is the time right before the ceremony. It is usually a calm moment if everything has gone smoothly, and I get to sit with the couple and just be present with them. This is often when we connect the most, and it feels special to share that quiet space before the day really takes off.
