FAQs
What inspired you to become a wedding photographer?
It’s actually a weird thing that got me started. I was a photojournalist in the military and you just have to shut emotion off and just document. When I got out of the military I found something almost therapeutic about showing raw, and beautiful emotion of love and connection.
How would you describe your photography style?
Emotional, colorful, and documentary style.
How do you ensure that your clients feel comfortable and relaxed during the photo shoot?
Connecting with them. Growing a relationship by calls, dinners, meetings, and just listening to them. By the time we show up for their wedding we already have had an engagement session where we got to be playful, joke around with another and just spend time learning each other.
How do you ensure that you capture all of the important moments on the wedding day?
By connection with the client, as well as making sure our team is on top of learning.
What is your favorite part of the wedding day and why?
The reception, hands down favorite part. It’s where all the stress and nervousness is gone, and it’s just pure fun and personalities shinning. My second (close second, and almost a tie for first) is Couples portraits. Wedding days are fast paced, and full of being around others- the time for portraits is a sweet and sentimental time that is intimate and a pause in the business of the day.
