Bright Light Studios

Hi! My name is Sam Abdallah! I am the owner and photographer of Bright Light Studios. I have had the pleasure of photographing weddings for 20 years and have had my full-time business for over 12 years now.

One of the things I love the most about weddings is connecting with your couple’s vision and providing them with work that they RAVE about!

I love being creative and creating imagery that truly tells a story with just one image. My goal is to have my clients and their friends just stare in awe at a single photograph.

FAQs

What inspired you to become a wedding photographer?

I have always been a creative person. Since I was old enough to hold a camera, my father would always give me his camera so that I could take photos of family events or weddings to which we were invited to. At first, I was reluctant to take photos at my father’s behest, but over time I fell in love with the idea of capturing moments in time that people could cherish forever. At one point I was photographing a family friend’s wedding as a guest and their wedding photographer accidentally lost all of the images from their wedding and because I was photographing the wedding on my own I was the only one who had photos from their wedding and made their day. Fast forward to my college days, I studied Graphic Design and Photography so that I was able to bring the artistic elements of design into the world of photography in order to create something magical.

How would you describe your photography style?

I have a mix of an Artistic/Creative style mixed with a Photojournalistic Style. I love to create artistic and creative images, but I will always provide my clients with a mixture of styles that fits whatever setting we are in.

How do you ensure that your clients feel comfortable and relaxed during the photo shoot?

Building a great rapport with your clients is paramount to creating great imagery! When ever I do a photo session I let my clients know that the first 15-20 minutes of taking pictures is just us getting used to each other. During that time period, I get to know their likes, dislikes, plans, and hopes for their wedding day. I then use that information to joke around during the photoshoot in order to evoke real and true laughter.

How do you ensure that you capture all of the important moments on the wedding day?

With every wedding, about a month prior, I will sit with my clients and create a fully detailed wedding day schedule that will go over everything that will happen from start to finish. I then type everything up, email it to them for review and once they approve it they will then disperse it amongst everyone who is involved with the wedding.

What is your favorite part of the wedding day and why?

My favorite part of the wedding is open dancing. Nothing is planned! You get to see the couple with all of their friends just let loose and have a great time! We get some of our best photos there because they are no longer stressing about getting to locations on time or doing their photoshoot, they just want to dance and have fun!
