James Dilley Greenbelt Preserve

The James Dilley Preserve is a hidden treasure in the Laguna Coast Wilderness Park. It’s part of what makes this paradise so unique! Also, it can be considered one of those “must-dos” for any Orange County Hiker! If you’re looking for a short hike that takes your breath away, then the preserve is just what you need. This nature park contains only natural lakes in Orange County and it’s also nearby from Nix Nature Center. Where visitors can learn about all things green!

To get to the only natural lakes in Orange County, you’ll need a map. There are different trails that lead there and each one is labeled with their distance. As well as what kind of terrain they offer (easy/moderate). You can also choose whether you would like your trail map highlighting different routes. As it go all access points for lakeshore views, and serenely beautiful backroads through deep forest trails. On one hand, if you plan to hike at James Dilley on a hot sunny day, remember that there is limited shade along most of the trails, and water will be an important part of your journey.
