Tracing its history, in 1919, botanist Dr. Henry Nehrling moved his garden to a new plot in the Naples area. So as to avoid any repetition of what he experienced in central Florida during that year’s disastrous freeze and its effects on his collection. While in 1969, Jungle Larry and Safari Jane, introduced their exotic animals to the garden that Naples had never seen before. And finally, in 2004, Collier County residents came together to save the Naples Zoo from developers. Then, turning the much loved property into a non-profit organization.

This historically driven venue has several outdoor settings for you to choose from; RainForest Grove, Black Bear Hammock, Lagoon Loop, and the Pavilion. Also, additional venues are available based on the size and style that you want. Further, your event is a once-in-a lifetime experience – why not make it extraordinary? The Naples Zoo has the area’s best planners on their team. So, when you choose their full service option, they will work with you to create an incredible wedding or other special occasion that no one will forget!
