About the Richard Nixon Library

Located in Yorba Linda, California on land that President Nixon’s family once owned, the library is one of 13 administered by the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA). The 9-acre campus includes a building for displays which opened to visitors on July 4th 2006. It also houses an auditorium with seating capacity for 400 individuals as well as galleries displaying archival materials from all presidential administrations since Herbert Hoover.  The museum is the birthplace of Richard Nixon, who has been one of America’s most controversial presidents. Since 1990 until 2007 it was operated by a private foundation and named after him: The Richard Nixon Library & Birthplace. In 2016 an extensive renovation occurred which included updated multimedia for all to enjoy as well as joint management from NARA (National Archives).
