1836 Photographie

Hi there! I’m Michele,
I’m a New Braunfels Wedding Photographer, but mostly I consider myself a storyteller.

I’m SO psyched that you’re here! I can’t tell you how much it means to me that you’re considering me to be a part of your journey. I believe that being a photographer is more than just shooting a pretty picture, you need to capture a pure and authentic connection, be fully present during throughout your time together, and be someone your clients can truly trust.

I can’t wait to get to know you and your partner (hopefully over coffee), get geared up for your moment in the sun, and make memories that will last a lifetime. For real, the thing I love most about what I do is making new friends who are up for adventure and whatever life has to offer.

FAQs

What inspired you to become a wedding photographer?

Honestly? I fell in love with the feeling of a wedding day — the electric energy, the belly laughs, the teary hugs, the absolute chaos and beauty of it all. It’s not just about snapping pretty pictures; it’s about preserving real, unfiltered moments that will mean even more decades from now. I wanted to be the person who could bottle up that wild, once-in-a-lifetime feeling and hand it back to people to keep forever. And after hundreds of weddings, that spark hasn’t dimmed one bit.

How would you describe your photography style?

Bold. Vibrant. True-to-life with a punch of personality.
I’m not here to turn your wedding into a fashion editorial unless you want me to — I’m here to make sure your photos feel as alive as you did in the moment. Think authentic candids, creative flash portraits, colorful party shots, and an editing style that lets the real magic shine through: bright whites, rich color, and a little bit of that “hell yes, we did that” energy.

How do you ensure that your clients feel comfortable and relaxed during the photo shoot?

First off, I don’t treat you like mannequins. You’re real people, and real people need to feel good to look good. I read the room, bring the right energy, and guide you just enough without ever making you feel stiff or awkward. I’m basically your professional third wheel — hyping you up, giving you space when you need it, and making sure you’re laughing way too hard to remember you’re in front of a camera.

How do you ensure that you capture all of the important moments on the wedding day?

I roll into your wedding day with a solid plan and the flexibility to pivot when the real magic happens. I work closely with you (and your planner if you have one) ahead of time to know what matters most to you — the must-have moments, the sentimental touches, the people you couldn’t imagine the day without. Then on the day itself, I stay alert, move fast, and know exactly when to step in and when to step back. It’s equal parts preparation, intuition, and a sixth sense for the good stuff.

What is your favorite part of the wedding day and why?

Hands down, it’s the in-between moments.
The stolen glances. The messy, joyful hugs. The quick little “holy crap, we’re married” looks you give each other when no one’s watching.
Those tiny, unscripted flashes of realness — that’s where the heart of the day lives, and that’s what I’m chasing with my camera all day long. That, and an absolutely unhinged dance floor when the party kicks off. (Catch me in the middle of the action, dodging beer showers and still nailing the shot.)
