FAQs
What inspired you to become a wedding photographer?
I went to art school, but found my true passion was in art making. I worked for several years as a watercolor artist and wildlife/landscape photographer. When a friend asked me to document her engagement and wedding in 2018, I fell completely in love with wedding photography and have been doing it ever since.
How would you describe your photography style?
I have a fine art, true to color film-matching approach to editing, and a documentary-style approach to shooting.
How do you ensure that your clients feel comfortable and relaxed during the photo shoot?
I have a process in the months leading up to your wedding day that allows me to deep-dive into your vision, ensuring that I’m fully prepared by the wedding day. A big part of that happens during the engagement session, when we get to know each other better.
How do you ensure that you capture all of the important moments on the wedding day?
I always have a second shooter, but ensure I don’t miss a moment by using the best tool for the job–film when time permits, digital when we need to work quickly. I have a thorough backup system to protect the files of my photos, and am immersed in the wedding day to be a true storyteller of all moments that unfold.
What is your favorite part of the wedding day and why?
My favorite part is just after the ceremony because of the euphoria and joy!
