Lauren Elliott
Hi I’m Lauren, a Manchester based, UK & Europe wedding and elopement photographer, – my wedding photography style is documentary, modern and authentic
I love working with stylish couples who are madly in love and want to create a day that’s authentic to them.
I’m all about going with the flow on the day. I love it when a couple brings their own flare – don’t feel the need to stick to traditions, keep me on my toes! I want your wedding to be an adventure and I’m going to throw myself into it. I don’t switch off – I’ll seem relaxed and keep you both chilled, whilst I’m constantly searching for authentic moments to capture.
This is how I document that electricity of the day, your wonderful reactions to the vows, and the joy when we’re toasting to you. I immerse myself in the fun of it all. I’m right there, in the heart of it, so your pictures will bring you right back to that moment. I’m not going to make you stage anything for the camera, I’m going to make sure you’re having fun, and you look good while you’re doing it. I’ll be your most engaged guest – helping you get ready, chatting away, pushing everyone onto the dance floor, and capturing it all as it happens.
I don’t take weddings for granted. It’s the biggest day of your life and I’m so honoured when I can help make it great. I want you to come away with an incredible gallery of images and wonderful memories you’ll treasure forever.

FAQs
What inspired you to become a wedding photographer?
After spending many years shooting beauty campaigns in studios for some big name brands, I loved it, but I knew I wanted to do something more authentic and better for the soul. Honestly, there is nothing more incredible than being a part of someones wedding day and getting to gift them the memory of it. Taking pictures, that will bring my couples back to that moment on one of the happiest days of their lives, is a gift in itself.
How would you describe your photography style?
My style is documentary first and foremost. I’m not here to stage moments on weddings days and instead I just capture whats going on. I might suggest you move to a different spot for better lighting or fix your dress, but I’m never going to make you repeat something again and again for the camera or get in the way of an intimate moment by shouting direction at you. My edit is true to life colours artistically muted, to create a romance and whimsical feel.
How do you ensure that your clients feel comfortable and relaxed during the photo shoot?
Let’s be honest, for most of us having your photo taken is awkward and uncomfortable. But making sure my couples enjoy their shoots or wedding days and come away thinking, ‘we had the best time with her’ is of the top most importance me. I always strive to capture authentic moments, so having a chat with you both, talking about your lives together and just generally getting to know each other is how I start any shoot. I like to guide and pose couples and then step away and let you just relax and have a moment together. I also find doing things together and just having me along to capture whats going on is the best way to truly capture peoples love.
