St. Peter Chanel Catholic Church
St. Peter Chanel Catholic Church is yet another sacred religious wedding venue. In 1980, at the request of the Archdiocese in Los Angeles, a congregation called The Oblates of the Virgin Mary staffed the church. Further, this new parish was located in Hawaiian Gardens and served a Hispanic population at first. However, as the years go by and has grown more open to the presence of other cultures. And due to immigration, adjoining communities like California’s Filipino populations were part of the church. Because of the kind gesture of acceptance and generosity made by the parish, it even became more recognizable along the Southern coast!
Also, at this time, the church offers weekend masses. As well as daily confessions, and Eucharistic Adoration everyday. Correspondingly, so people could become more aware and recognize their spirituality deeply. In addition, there are also quarterly retreats available. If someone wishes to take some time-out by themselves or with other believers.
On one hand, the parish office is always looking for ways to bring the community together. Sometimes that means helping out couples with a special request, especially if it involves matrimony. Couples can contact the parish office from Monday through Friday, at least six months prior to their chosen wedding date. They encourage all couples who are living together and would like a wedding in their beautiful church to get started by coming here for an information session!
