Dunsapie Loch

The small artificial loch in Edinburgh’s Holyrood Park is an absolute gem. In fact, this place is called Dunsapie Loch and is located between Dunsapie Hill and Arthur’s Seat. Further, this loch was created with the purpose of supporting plenty of wildfowl. Today, it’s considered as one of the most popular places to visit at the park.

Moreover, this loch was created by Prince Albert in 1844. He was known as the consort to Queen Victoria during that time. In addition, this loch is known to be the area where the ascent to the top of Arthur’s Seat begins.
