FAQs

What inspired you to become a wedding photographer?

I’ve always loved doing photography since a young age starting with animals, nature, and travel. When I got married and everything was done I had extreme wedding blues and asked myself “how I could still be involved in the wedding industry?”. I had always loved looking at inspiration photos of gowns, locations, florals, couples, color palettes, and it all looked so beautiful and I thought to myself “I want to create that” so I dove into my preexisting love for photography and transformed it into what it is today. Being able to create those beautiful Pinterest worthy images for you has become my biggest passion and I absolutely love it!

How would you describe your photography style?

I love to capture candid, fun, and raw emotions in my work. Filling your gallery with those beautiful warm colors, lots of vibrancy, and some retro flare. I am definitely fueled by my surroundings when it comes to what makes my art feel like me. Lush tropical greens? Bold orange canyons? Beautiful blue lakes? I want everything to pop and be full of amazing colors.

How do you ensure that your clients feel comfortable and relaxed during the photo shoot?

I always try to approach my couples with care and compassion. Being the calm support they can rely on during the hectic moments of a wedding day, being their hype person during their portraits/session, and always having open communication with them so we are always on the same page. For weddings, I am naturally a very calm, laid back, and “go with the flow” type of person, my job is to help make sure that any hiccups or stress stay behind the scenes so you can be fully present and relaxed. For sessions, I want our time together to be about you, pretending like I’m not there and being fully present with your partner. Maybe we opt to do something for the session that’s more personal and feels like a date night, or we put some music on to help get the energy flowing, whatever it is that makes you most comfortable I’m here for it because you feeling at ease and excited is my priority.

How do you ensure that you capture all of the important moments on the wedding day?

Lots of pre-planning. We will always do a final meeting before the big day to help me be prepared and create a timeline to break down the entire day with every aspect of what you want photographed, plus ensuring we are on track and not missing anything. Lots of communication during the day too as things always change, taking the time to listen to your needs and requests as things flow throughout the day. As stated above I am a very go with the flow type of person so I’m always encouraging last minute ideas and open communication so if you suddenly decide “oh wait I want this photo” we can capture that moment. Lastly, I will be right by your side the entire day ready to capture any and all, big or small details.

What is your favorite part of the wedding day and why?

Couples portraits! My time with my couple to create beautiful, fun, and timeless photos for them to have forever. Your portraits are some of the photos you will look at and cherish most (outside of family portraits), and it’s by far the most creative portion of the day for me.
