Why is California perfect for my wedding?
California is the place to be in America, with so much variety of experiences that everyone can find something for themselves. Whether you’re looking to go on an adventure or just want a relaxing getaway, there’s plenty here in California!
Officially made a state in 1848 and over the last few centuries, California has been home to many stories. For example, during the Gold Rush of 1850s, countless settlers flocked to California in search for wealth. In 1945, the United Nations charter was signed in San Francisco. At this conference, there were delegates from 50 countries representing nearly 75% of world population at that time and over half of all international trade.
When it comes to natural beauty, California is hard to beat. The state has three amazing National Parks (and probably more): Yosemite, Redwood and Sequoia. Each of these parks are filled with stunning sights that will take your breath away – like the world’s tallest redwood tree!
One of the best things about California, besides its awesome weather, are the huge temperature changes you can experience in a single day. It’s not uncommon for Bay Area residents to see snowfall at their doorstep and then go sunbathing with friends by lunchtime. This type of climate change makes it easy to enjoy outdoor activities all year round without getting too hot or cold!
In addition, Northern California weather is ideal for outdoor weddings, but there are plenty of indoor venues to choose from too. It offers a multitude of wineries, historic hotels, lush gardens, museums, and even the zoo! With the chance of sunshine on your big day being very high in Northern California, it makes sense that this location has become a popular choice among couples looking to get married.
On one hand, Southern California’s year-round warm climate allows for all types of weddings, including winter outdoor and indoor. The natural landscapes surrounding much of Southern California make it an appealing location for outdoor weddings; however, the region also has many incredible indoor spaces that are very popular as well. Many Southern California couples strive to create a cohesive and flowy wedding day by incorporating outdoor and indoor venues together.
With over 1,000 miles of coastline and countless beaches to choose from in the state’s many cities, visitors are bound to find something that piques their interest on California’s sandy shores! Some notables include Venice Beach in Los Angeles and the Glass Beach up north near Mendocino County. Surely, you’ll have everything that you are looking for a wedding destination here!
